The best time to visit Koh Rong is during the dry season, which spans from mid-November to early May.   December to February are particularly popular, as they provide pleasant temperatures (around 25°C – 28°C)

How To Reach

You can’t reach Koh Rong directly by air since there’s no airport on the island.  The nearest airport to Koh Rong is only Sihanoukville International Airport (KOS).  Several airlines operate domestic flights to Sihanoukville from other cities in Cambodia, such as Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. You can take a Ferry from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong Speed ferries take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour and are the most convenient option. Either you can take a taxi, bus or van to Sihanoukville. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, If you travel by road. Several companies offer bus and van services between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, and you can easily find tickets online or at travel agencies in Phnom Penh.
